چکیده

7 Population systems are often subject to environmental noise, and our aim is to show that (surprisingly) the presence of even a tiny amount can suppress a potential population explosion. 9 To prove this intrinsically interesting result, we stochastically perturb the multivariate deterministic system ẋ(t)=f(x(t)) into the Itô form dx(t)=f(x(t)) dt + g(x(t)) dw(t), and show that 11 although the solution to the original ordinary di9erential equation may explode to in;nity in a ;nite time, with probability one that of the associated stochastic di9erential equation does not. 13 c © 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

The Effects of Different SDE Calculus on Dynamics of Nano-Aerosols Motion in Two Phase Flow Systems

Langevin equation for a nano-particle suspended in a laminar fluid flow was analytically studied. The Brownian motion generated from molecular bombardment was taken as a Wiener stochastic process and approximated by a Gaussian white noise. Euler-Maruyama method was used to solve the Langevin equation numerically. The accuracy of Brownian simulation was checked by performing a series of simulati...

Computational Method for Fractional-Order Stochastic Delay Differential Equations

Dynamic systems in many branches of science and industry are often perturbed by various types of environmental noise. Analysis of this class of models are very popular among researchers. In this paper, we present a method for approximating solution of fractional-order stochastic delay differential equations driven by Brownian motion. The fractional derivatives are considered in the Caputo sense...

Krylov subspace methods for computing hydrodynamic interactions in brownian dynamics simulations.

Hydrodynamic interactions play an important role in the dynamics of macromolecules. The most common way to take into account hydrodynamic effects in molecular simulations is in the context of a brownian dynamics simulation. However, the calculation of correlated brownian noise vectors in these simulations is computationally very demanding and alternative methods are desirable. This paper studie...

Long-lived states of oscillator chain with dynamical traps

A simple model of oscillator chain with dynamical traps and additive white noise is considered. Its dynamics was studied numerically. As demonstrated, when the trap effect is pronounced nonequilibrium phase transitions of a new type arise. Locally they manifest themselves via distortion of the particle arrangement symmetry. Depending on the system parameters the particle arrangement is characte...
